Susan, the owner and host of The Cottages on Orchard, brings a lifetime of care and compassion to her role. With over 30 years as a nurse and 40 years dedicated to animal rescue, her passion for helping others is clear. An eco-friendly advocate, she is committed to protecting the environment and does not use harmful herbicides, pesticides, or chemicals on the property. Originally from New York, Susan relocated to Wilmington, Delaware, in the early 2000s. Since then, she has created a tranquil getaway in the historic village of the Ardens, perfect for nature lovers. She enjoys a peaceful life with her two dogs, Amy and Zach, and her three cats, Tinkerbell, Chiquita, and Lala. We hope you find as much joy in the cottages as she does.
